Job Description

As part of Safe Harbor Marinas, the world's largest marina owner and operator, Fiddler's Cove Marina is currently seeking a Full-Time Marine Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate would be an individual with 10 years of experience in all phases of yacht systems, be a self starter, be able to work independently, as well as with a team to produce quality work. 

 

Fiddler's Cove is rated as one of the most desirable marine facilities on Cape Cod, and is conveniently located, offering an ideal port for the area's best cruising ground, with easy access by sea or land. Fiddler's Cove services and stores over 200 recreational boats, both power and sail. 

 

Job type: Full-Time, year-round with an excellent benefits package and competitive compensation.

 

Job Duties:

  • Conduct a thorough assessment prior to starting a job; including acknowledging the budgeted time and time frame for completion, proving the system and the element requiring service, determining /sourcing parts required
  • Assign parts and purchases to the appropriate vessels/tickets
  • Experienced marina tech with overall knowledge of boat systems
  • Ability to diagnose and repair all types of marina engines
  • Ability to work alone or in a team setting

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 10 years experience in all phases of yacht systems
  • Working knowledge of electronics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Certifications in major engine manufacturers
  • Fiberglass and metal fabrication 
  • Skilled in welding and hoisting machinery
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize and work unsupervised
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work weekend and holidays
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 Ibs
