Job Description

Marina Bay, located in Quincy, MA, is seeking a full-time, year-round Service Technician Assistant to start immediately. Marina Bay offers company paid training, a new service shop, a fully paved boat lot and a very clean working environment with great people, and plenty of room to grow!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in diagnosis, tests, repairs, replace, remove and install marine engines, ship's systems, electronics and electrical equipment
  • Mechanical knowledge of gas and diesel engines
  • Assist on projects, budget time, determine/source parts required
  • Ability to learn to winterize, shrink wrap and commission paint and wax of vessels

Advantageous To This Role:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of electronics
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work unsupervised
  • Customer service experience
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

 

Requirements

Requirements Include:

  • 3-5 years’ experience as a service technician assistant in the marine trades or similar
  • Licenses' or certifications are a plus!
  • Efficient knowledge and mechanical skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Detail oriented
  • Willingness to learn and assist technicians
  • Capable of working in a fast paced service shop and marina
  • Comfortable working in small spaces, able to crawl, climb, lift up to 50 Ibs and work in outside as       well as inside conditions
