Job Description

Safe Harbor Marinas, the nation’s largest owner and operator of marinas, has an immediate opening for a full time General Manager potion at their property in located in beautiful Fort Pierce, FL.

The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the marina and boatyard. The most important aspects of the operation are maintaining the highest level of customer service and appearance for the facility and its staff, profitability, oversight of all department as well as a vision for the future growth of the location. These are not the only responsibilities. Other duties include, but are not limited to, budgeting, accounting, staffing, reporting, leasing, legal compliance and emergency preparedness and response.

Job Duties:

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Manage all personnel closely
  • Ensure safety
  • Train employees
  • Manage budgets
  • Inventory control
  • Maintain positive relationships with tenants, contractors and local authorities
  • Safeguard properties assets, petty cash etc.
  • Comply wit OSHA, EPA DEEP and Department of Labor

 

 

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Previous marina management or supervisory experience
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Hardworking ethos, self-motivated and respect for customers and peers
  • Experience with budgets, salary administration, AP/AR and slip leasing
  • Must be a team player
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • 5 years' experience preferred
  • CCM certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of marina software is a plus
